Family Resources

The Community Closet

The Community Closet is a resource for the individuals, youth and families we serve to access gently used clothing, personal care items, shoes, linens, baby items, books, toys, board games, and linens free of charge. The space is arranged like a traditional store so clients can “shop” with dignity if/when needed. Shoppers may select up to three outfits per family member once every month. The Community Closet is open to “shop” by appointment only. Please contact us at 203-368-5523 or 203-368-5624 to schedule an appointment. The Closet is currently in need of men’s clothing.

! Community Closet Donations

Donations are accepted Monday – Friday between 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM or by appointment. If interested in volunteer opportunities, please request/complete a volunteer application. On a hygiene and quality note — please consider quality of goods being donated to be in line with those that would be taken to a consignment or resale shop. We appreciate all donations being laundered and dropped off in a way that allows us to make them quickly available to those in need. Questions? Contact us at 203-368-5523.

Thank you to the Federation of Jewish Philanthropy of Greater Fairfield County, Dignity Grows and The Undies Project for their support of the Community Closet.
